Two Paragraphs

Bruno Miranda is a musician, worship theologian, author, and educator based in Florida. He served as Music Director to Dr. Ron Kenoly for twenty-one years, traveling to over twenty-five nations across five continents and leading worship in arenas, churches, and international conference halls. He holds a degree in Music Production and Engineering from Berklee College of Music and a Master's in Music Technology from Indiana University, and is completing doctoral research in Christian Worship at Liberty University, where he also teaches. He is a Latin Grammy-nominated producer and engineer, a Global Music Awards recipient, and an ordained minister of the Gospel. He is the founder of Lumen Sound Press.

His forthcoming book, The Hermeneutics of Praise and Worship: A Framework for Biblical Discernment in Congregational Song, addresses a gap at the heart of contemporary worship practice: the absence of a systematic theological framework by which churches can evaluate, curate, and create music for the gathered congregation. Miranda writes from twenty-one years of firsthand ministry experience alongside one of the most significant worship leaders of the twentieth century, bringing both pastoral authority and scholarly rigor to a subject the Church can no longer afford to treat casually.

Full Biography

Bruno Miranda is a musician, worship theologian, author, educator, and ordained minister whose career spans three decades, five continents, and an unusually wide range of creative and scholarly work. Born in São Paulo, Brazil, he moved to the United States at eighteen and trained at Berklee College of Music, where he earned a degree in Music Production and Engineering. He later completed a Master's degree in Music Technology from Indiana University and is currently completing doctoral studies in Christian Worship at Liberty University, where he also serves as faculty.

In 2005, through a set of circumstances that require their own telling, Bruno was invited to serve as Music Director to Dr. Ron Kenoly, one of the foundational figures of modern praise and worship music. He held that role for twenty-one years, traveling to over twenty-five nations, leading worship across five continents, and working alongside some of the finest musicians and worship practitioners in the field. Dr. Kenoly passed into glory in February 2026. The years Bruno spent at his side form the theological and ministerial foundation of everything he writes and teaches.

A Latin Grammy-nominated producer and engineer and a Global Music Awards recipient, Bruno has also built a parallel life of studio work, compositional projects, and collaborative recording — including neo-classical duo albums with violinist José Valentino. He is the founder of Lumen Sound Press, the publishing imprint for his scholarly and ministerial writing. His forthcoming book, The Hermeneutics of Praise and Worship: A Framework for Biblical Discernment in Congregational Song, offers the Church a systematic theological framework for evaluating and creating congregational music — an argument for pastoral accountability in an age when the worship industry has become the de facto curator of what the Church sings. A second book, The Gospel of Mammon, is in preparation.

Bruno was ordained to the Gospel Ministry by the First Baptist Church of Mount Dora, Florida, on January 29, 2023. He lives in Florida with his wife Mariane and their two children.
